On Friday night, Minor League Baseball gets underway, with Triple-A being the first division to play. This weekend, the top affiliate of the Dodgers, the Oklahoma City Baseball Club, will play its first game of the season in Tacoma against the Rainiers, a Mariners affiliate.
In light of this, Oklahoma City released their initial opening day roster on Thursday, which included eight players from the Dodgers’ 40-man roster.
Oklahoma City was known as the Dodgers throughout the first ten years of their partnership with the team. However, they briefly changed their name to the Oklahoma City Baseball Club for 2024, announcing new logos, uniforms, and other items. After changing ownership in 2021, the team intends to choose a permanent team name by 2025.
However, they receive caps and clothes similar to these for this year.Oklahoma City’s Landon Knack, who did not throw in the Dodgers’ opening two games this season in South Korea, gets the start on Friday night.
The Dodgers’ 31-man travel roster for the trip to Seoul included Knack, outfielder/infielder Miguel Vargas, catcher Hunter Feduccia, pitchers J.P. Feyereisen and Gus Varland, and pitchers Gus Varland. Knack will begin the season in Triple-A.
On March 16, Vargas was optioned, and last Friday, Knack, Feyereisen, and Varland were transferred to Oklahoma City.Pitchers Matt Gage and Ricky Vanasco, along with outfielder Andy Pages, who looked excellent in spring training and is healthy following shoulder surgery, are the other Oklahoma City players on the Dodgers 40-man roster.
