Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers showcased his impressive hitting skills by launching his fourth home run in three consecutive games, helping his team secure a 6-3 victory against the Miami Marlins on Monday night. This marked Walker Buehler’s return to the pitching mound after nearly two years.
Ohtani’s remarkable feat of hitting 11 home runs this season was achieved when he smashed a high fastball from Roddery Muñoz for a two-run homer in the first inning, tying the game 2-2. This marked his eighth career instance of hitting homers in three successive games and the fourth time he’s managed four home runs within such a span.
Shortly after Ohtani’s display of power, Freddie Freeman added to the excitement by hitting a solo home run, marking the Dodgers’ first back-to-back homers of the season.
The Dodgers’ victory was further cemented by home runs from James Outman and Teoscar Hernández, extending their winning streak to four games. Meanwhile, Nick Gordon’s home run was not enough to lift the Marlins, who suffered their third loss in four games during their West Coast trip.

Buehler’s return saw him pitch four innings, conceding three runs and six hits while striking out four. Despite some early jitters, he settled down as the game progressed.
Following Buehler’s performance, Ryan Yarbrough delivered three innings of solid pitching, allowing just one hit, and Alex Vesia secured the win with his first save.
The Marlins saw the return of INF Jake Burger after a 20-game absence due to a left intercostal muscle strain, while Dodgers’ RHP Joe Kelly was placed on the injured list due to a right posterior shoulder strain.
Looking ahead, the next game in the series will feature Miami’s RHP Edward Cabrera against the Dodgers’ RHP Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
