Despite being chosen in the sixth round of the draft, DeMario Douglas emerged as the most productive rookie wide receiver in the history of Bill Belichick’s coaching tenure last season with the New England Patriots. In his debut season, he made 49 catches and accumulated 561 receiving yards.
However, despite this achievement, Douglas remains driven to prove himself further. He considers his rookie success a blessing but feels he still has much more to accomplish.
Heading into his second year, Douglas has dedicated himself to improving during the NFL offseason, with a specific goal in mind: scoring touchdowns. Last season, he was unable to find the end zone and aims to change that, aspiring to contribute multiple touchdowns this year.
Beyond just scoring, Douglas wants to inject more confidence and swagger into the Patriots’ performance on the field. He views his rookie year as a learning experience and intends to bring more energy and attitude to the team, taking inspiration from teammates like Kendrick Bourne.
