Will Hall, who mentored Gore Jr. during his collegiate career at Southern Mississippi from 2020 to 2023, shared insights during a recent media session among Sun Belt coaches. Hall emphasized Gore Jr.’s exceptional football intelligence, attributing it to his upbringing as the son of Frank Gore Sr.,
likening it to growing up with a coach. He highlighted Gore Jr.’s comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of playing as a running back, including his adeptness at catching passes, willingness to block despite his size, and his knack for eluding defenders. Hall also commended Gore Jr.’s strong work ethic and his readiness to contribute on special teams, expressing confidence in his determination to earn a spot on the team.
During his tenure under Hall’s guidance at Southern Miss, Gore Jr. amassed an impressive record, tallying 30 touchdowns and throwing seven while rushing for 4022 yards on 759 carries.
Buffalo’s rookie minicamp is slated to commence on May 10, offering Gore Jr. a platform to showcase his skills and vie for a position on the team, reminiscent of his father’s stint with the Bills in 2019.
