At this point last year, there was significant discussion surrounding Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s offseason efforts to prevent the concussions that had affected him in 2022. Those efforts paid off as he successfully started every game for the team.

Recently, Tagovailoa organized a football camp in Oahu and chose to keep his offseason training methods under wraps, stating that it isn’t the primary focus this offseason. Instead, the spotlight has been on his contract negotiations as he enters the final year of his rookie deal.

Discussions between Tagovailoa and the Dolphins regarding a contract extension have been characterized as positive, with both sides expressing optimism. However, Tagovailoa defers to his agent on the matter, emphasizing his current focus on family and personal improvement.

Despite the optimistic updates, challenges remain, particularly concerning past injuries and a less-than-ideal performance in the previous season’s conclusion. As negotiations continue, attention will remain fixed on Miami to see how the situation unfolds before the 2024 season kicks off.
