Pistons coach Monty Williams expressed relief that the condition was identified promptly.
Meanwhile, Stewart’s season-ending hamstring injury occurred during a recent defeat against the Boston Celtics, further compounding the team’s challenges. With little left to achieve in this disappointing season aside from potentially securing a 13th win, the Pistons face a bleak outlook.
Barring any additional setbacks such as injuries to Cunningham, the season couldn’t have gone much worse for Detroit.
