Wright exudes confidence in his speed, claiming to have clocked 23.7 miles per hour and a 4.36 on the 40-yard dash, as reported by Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. He embraces his father-given moniker “Cheetah” but is open to being called “lightning” or “flash.”
The Dolphins traded a 2025 third-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles to secure Wright, indicating their intention to integrate him significantly into their offense. With Raheem Mostert, coming off a stellar season leading the league in rushing touchdowns, and Achane showcasing explosive talent in his rookie year, the addition of Wright serves as insurance.
Despite Mostert’s age and Achane’s injury history, Wright’s impressive final season at Tennessee, rushing for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns on 137 carries, underscores his potential impact with limited touches. Now, the question arises whether he will adopt Hill’s “Cheetah” nickname.
