He emphasized the lack of respect exhibited towards Krause both as a person and a man, expressing sympathy for him and his family.
Krause was at the helm of the Bulls team during their six championship wins with Jordan in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, and 1998. Despite his significant role in the team’s success, Krause received what Thomas perceived as disrespect in the documentary.
The rivalry between the Bulls and the Pistons during that era is well-known, with the Pistons claiming NBA titles in 1989 and 1990 and defeating the Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals in both years. Decades later, tensions between Jordan and Thomas still seem unresolved. Thomas indicated that there is no possibility of reconciliation until Jordan publicly apologizes for calling him an expletive on international television during “The Last Dance.”
Jordan’s remarks were part of the widely-watched ESPN documentary, “The Last Dance,” which aired in the spring of 2020.
