Gloucestershire’s allrounder, Ollie Price, has prolonged his tenure with the team. Aged 22, he’s the younger sibling of teammate Tom. His contract extension follows a remarkable season where he earned a nomination for the PCA’s young player award and secured a spot on the England Lions tour of India.
Price showcased his prowess with both bat and in the field last summer, amassing five centuries and five fifties across various formats. Notably, he averaged 42.38 in the County Championship and an impressive 82.14 in the One-Day Cup. Regarded as one of the top slip-fielders around, he was singled out by two county captains in the ECB’s pre-season forecasts as one of the most promising young talents in the country.
Expressing his delight, Price stated, “I’m immensely proud and thrilled to extend my contract with Glos. The club has been incredibly supportive since my academy days, and I feel privileged to continue my journey here.”
