Diggs’ future had been a subject of speculation for some time, and the Bills recently traded him to the Houston Texans, resulting in a significant $30 million cap hit for 2024. This trade also limited the Bills’ options, as they received a 2025 second-round pick in return.

Although the upcoming draft offers a deep pool of talented receivers, the Bills are exploring free agency and trade options to find a suitable replacement for Diggs. Despite Diggs’ departure, the team is determined to maintain its offensive prowess.

Among the potential candidates, Tee Higgins stands out as an appealing choice. At 25 years old, Higgins has demonstrated the skills of a primary receiver, despite being overshadowed by Ja’Marr Chase in Cincinnati.

While the Bengals may be reluctant to part with Higgins, financial constraints might necessitate a trade. The Bills could offer a similar deal to the Diggs trade, potentially making their receiving corps younger and possibly stronger.

Another option is Odell Beckham Jr, a free agent who has long been linked with the Bills. Although Beckham Jr has faced injury issues in recent years, he could provide a reliable target for Allen, complementing other offensive weapons.

In the draft, Ladd McConkey emerges as a promising prospect. With his speed and route-running abilities, McConkey could make an immediate impact from the slot position. While other teams, like the Kansas City Chiefs, are interested, the Bills could seize the opportunity to draft him.

Finally, there’s Jalen McConkey, viewed as a top talent in the draft class. Despite the potential need to trade up, selecting Odunze could significantly strengthen the Bills’ offense. With his impressive size and hands, Odunze has the potential to become a go-to receiver, enhancing Buffalo’s offensive capabilities.
